Sisolak calls for local, state, federal probes of fire union after arbitrator’s decision

Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak, a critic of firefighters gaming the system, has sent letters to local, state and federal law enforcement officials asking them to investigate sick leave abuses outlined in an arbitrator's decision. The union claims the abuse was isolated, but Sisolak has informed the county manager of his desire to audit the sick leave.

I have posted at right a letter the commissioner sent to the FBI (the others to the AG, DA and sheriff are identical) and one he sent to Manager Don Burnette.

  1. Go get them Steve. Its time we had a commissioner with the gonies to the on the thug unions.

  2. We need more like him. It's a refreshing change from the recent batch of corrupt commissioners who were union bought and paid for.

  3. I am proud of the Fire Departments in the Las Vegas Valley. The Union should want an investigation to protect the men and women that appreciate the jobs that they have and are dedicated to ethical practices in their jobs. We can no longer afford the people that do not demonstrate that dedication and commitment to ethics.
