It's almost a tradition. After the governor gives his State of the State address, top lobbying firms host a soirée for him. So no surprise that Pete Ernaut and Greg Ferraro are hosting one for Brian Sandoval at Adeles in Carson City. They persuaded him to leave the bench, so now they are introducing him to one of the gubernatorial rites of passage.

Invite at right.

  1. The Golden Rule, he with the Gold rules. Maybe they can get Mike Steele a job out at R&R.

  2. "New Governor to lobbyists: Come kiss my ring at exclusive reception"

    Right, Jon?

  3. Kevin, the back room at Adele's is where the governor kisses the ring of the lobbyists.

  4. Governor Sandoval mingled with folks at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade in Downtown, Las Vegas, while everyone was lining up. Congresswoman Shelley Berkley was there to welcome him as well at her amazing black Ford Mustang convertable. Even the kids at Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary were all charged up to see him.

So what gives, when the out-going, now former Nevada Governor Gibbons, can't even open his heart and the Governor's Mansion on January 1, 2011, to allow the in-coming Governor Sandoval and his family an opportunity to view the place they will be calling home?

Thank God some people still have some sense and decency, and are proper in welcoming and celebrating Nevada's new leader, Governor Brian Sandoval! Bless you folks!
