Angle says women ‘staged the fight’ to detract from supposed news at non-debate

Yes, that's what Senate hopeful Sharron Angle told national radio interviewer Jerry Doyle today about that scuffle at last night's Faith Lutheran forum, once again invoking Saul Alinsky. Angle seems to think every Democrat has read his works. Alinsky was a leftist community organizer and Angle loves talking about how her foes are using his techniques to disrupt her.

But can she possibly believe this was a set-up fight? What? As if that stepped on some great news event for her?

Here's the exchange and audio is at right.

Doyle: Last night there was a little bit of a fistacuffs that took place at an event that you were at. The headline in the local paper as you know, ‘So much for the talk, brawl erupts between Angle, Reid supporters.’ Obviously we and you don’t condone violence of any sort. But what happened? I know you were there in person and Harry Reid was there on tape. What happened that it got, a little contentious let’s put it that way?

Angle: Well I think this is a play right out of Saul Alinksky’s rule for radicals. What happens if you don’t want the news to report on the forum and the debate between the two contestants, you try to make a bigger news story. And the news story is the brawl, and so that’s what they did. They staged a fight, that’s the way that I felt it was going. There were two women that were actually looking for a fight, trying to get that to be the top news story and they succeeded.

Doyle: I don’t want to sound macho but when I read the story, the woman said the man hit me first…I looked at the pictures and there’s a physicality that that doesn’t match up with the supposed reality that they were trying to sell out there.
