Scott Ashjian has a new web ad calling Harry Reid and Sharron Angle career politicians and saying both are spending machines. Really. It's on the web.
Posted at right.

Jon got it wrong again. The Tea Party Candidate is Sharron Angle. No one knows who this other guy is. Next issue.
I think it is quite possible that Ashjian is a Harry Reid shill. I find it interesting that Ashjian is in the public view again now that Reid has actually lost a point or two in the polls.
Nobody knows who Sharron Angle is either, except for all the people making fun of her.
Why would Jon Ralston and the Sun give any coverage to this clown? Ask yourself. Ask him.
boftx - what is it about you right wing nut cases and your paranoia?? Not everything is a conspiracy. You guy need to live with putting Angle out there - own it teabagger.
Copy that, Judy.
http://www.bgladd.com/SharronMangleTatto...
Jon Ralston does not do a very good job, in covering up the fact he is in Reid's pocket.
Sad as I used to watch his TV show. But not anymore.
@Judy- Typical of the left. When someone exposes you, just start the name-calling.
It is very much apparent that Judy has not read anything I have posted elsewhere today, let alone my posting history. :)
boftx - I don't think that Ashjian is a shill. He hates Reid. He would not let himself be used by Reid. He also will not take no for an answer regarding running in the race. He wanted to be in Angle's shoes. She is obviously a TeaParty candidate under the GOP. That's why the GOP is not happy about having her out there. I think Ashjian thought he would have a shot running as a TeaParty candidate against the GOP and the Dems but because she is such a loon and filling the position, he has no shot.
And yes, I have read your postings before and did not think you were a rightie but that post above makes me think differently.
Too funny BobbyG!
Judy, I live to serve. LOL...

Angle wasn't even on the radar when Ashjian first showed up (before Lowden made her chicken comment).
Ashjian might very well hate Reid, but look at the people named as helping to organize his party and you see strong connections back to Reid.
At the time Ashjian first filed, Reid was almost guaranteed to lose to Lowden or Baby Tark. The "TEA Party" name carried a fair amount of influence and would be sure to pull voters away from the Republican party without pulling any Democrats. A third-party candidate who could be called "TEA Party" would be very useful for splitting the Republican vote. In fact, that had already happened in other states, much to the chagrin of the Republican party (NY 20 is a perfect example).
Ashjian pretty much disappeared from the scene once Angle won the nomination and Reid quickly shot ahead of her in the polls, albeit not by much.
But lately, as bad as Angle hoof-in-mouth disease might be, Harry is losing a little ground to where it is now in fact a true dead heat between them. Lo and behold, Ashjian is in the news again.
So it is reasonable to speculate that Reid or his people have had a hand somewhere along the line helping Ashjian along in some fashion. No conspiracy theory here, just good old fashioned politics.
Besides, look at Ashjian's checkered past, he is a tool at most.
Bingo gbigs!
I do hate agreeing with gbigs but I suspect he is correct about Ashjian. However I am happy to have him pull votes from Angle.
boftx - I don't think that Ashjian is a shill. He hates Reid. He would not let himself be used by Reid.
= Of course not; he's just an arrogant con-man that that can't handle his own finances and is a liar. Did anybody read this?
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/aug...
I may not be a Angle supporter, but I do know that Ashjian is a fraud that also lied on his candidate paperwork.
And why is it that his lawyer, Barry Levinson, is a outspoken Democrat?
Scott's integrity stinks to high heaven.
I'm just being cynical in this case. Even if Ashjian would not let himself be used by Reid, is he smart enough to know if he was being used? :)
Agreed, this whole thing stinks.
What could be more fun, another crazy teabagger.
Double the fun, two crazy teabaggers.
Harry Reid already sailed to the top.
SAVE SOCIAL SECURITY,
VOTE HARRY REID.
I thought Angle was a Republican...Oh, I get it, the Tea Party is actually a contrived wing of the Republican Party for the mentally challenged!
TheAntiWingnut ya but only 71% of them! Thank you teaparty Harry could have never done without you!
You conservative's and your hypocrisy-truly amazing!
Reid showing Angle being Angle is "lies and smear".
Rove changing American history with the "black baby" accusation against McCain in South Carolina was just politics huh?
Cheney and Bush lie us into war-and all is forgiven. You even wanted Obama to give Bush credit for the surge! The surge would not have been needed at all-had they managed the war properly.
We were lied into the war with the WMD nonsense-4400+ KIA's 31,000+ WIA. They were not just killed and wounded in battles-they were blown apart-AFTER the "mission accomplished" speech. And after the now infamous statement by Cheney-"the insurgency is in it's last throes" But that does not bother you righties?
What bothers you is Reid's statement. INCREDIBLE!
Two birds with one stone:
We can fix the election process by removing right wing religious extremist's AND Fix the immigration problem too.
We just take away citizenship from those who think persons like Angle and Palin are viable canidates.
We then award that citizenship to an immigrant who might actually Pay Attention!
Why are you baggers so down on Ashjian? By the look of all the other teaparty candidates he appears to meet all of your prerequisites.
Back to the real issue at hand.
Here is Harry Reid's next commercial.
Hi, I am HARRY REID and I no longer have anything to offer the state of Nevada except $25 Million of character assassination attack ads against my opponent and I approve this message. I am a TOTAL INCOMPETENT THAT SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY !!! Check out my miserable record since I took complete control of the Senate of United States in the fall elections of 2006.
- Hide quoted text -
Unemployment Rate
When We Democrats took over the whole Congress in January 2007 = 4.6%
When We Democrats still controlled Congress by a huge majority July 2010 = 9.6%
Nevada Unemployment rate today when we Democrats still controlled Congress by a huge majority 14.3%
Federal Annual Deficit
When We Democrats took over the whole Congress in January 2007 = Deficit for FY 2006 was $247 Billion
When We Democrats still controlled Congress by a huge majority July 2010 = Projected $1.3 Trillion for FY ending Sept 30, 2010
Federal Debt
When We Democrats took over the whole Congress in January 2007 = $8,7 Trillion
When We Democrats still controlled Congress by a huge majority July 2010 = $13.2 Trillion
I am the incompetent Harry Reid and I approve this message. Vote for Sharron Angle before I, Harry REID, completely destroy this country.
bookofdoubt
Rather than focus a a few cherry picked stats, lets do a closer look.
-'When We Democrats took over the whole Congress in January 2007' the housing bubble was in full swing. Fannie and Freddie, under Bush's regulations imposed in 2004 had fanned the subprime flames such that housing prices here in Vegas as well as nationwide had risen by more than 50% and wall street was lining its pockets with billions in fees from repackaging those subprime loans into the CDO's which we now refer to as "toxic assets".
The fy 2006 budget was not the key budget, because the fy 2007 budget was passed by the republican congress in late 2006.
Even the budgets for 2008 and 2009, which were Bush budgets passed by democratic congresses were dependent and were passed with relatively similar deficits to those passed by the prior congress but by late 2008 entitlement payments went through the roof so the actual deficit which was budgeted to be in the same order of magnitude as 2007, shot through the roof due to increased entitlement payments as the credit crunch of 2007 blossomed into the recession of 2008. 2009 was worse again. This is referred to as "structural" deficit and no single congress can change that portion of the budget. it only controls "discretionary spending" which is a small fraction of the budget.
bookofdoubt
You are so correct. How can all the democates that write in this so-called newspaper blame anyone but themselves for the fiscal shape that this countrys in. They have controlled the purse strings for the last 4 years. The media keeps getting away with blaming Bush for everything. Bush should take some blame, but he didn't spend us into third world status. Most economist are warning us to change course, and fast, or our economy is going to collapes. What part doesn't Obama and congress understand?
Thats easy johnniek.
The subprime mess was caused in large part by regulations imposed on HUD by Bush in 2004. According to research cited by gbigs, the total subprime aquisitions by Fannie and Freddie in 2004 and 2005 were orders of magnitude higher than in the total during the last 4 years of the Clinton administration.
Even gbigs acknowledges that the recession was caused by the subprime mess. Although he wants to blame Fannie and Freddies contribution on Dodd for tabling some unspecified legislation in 2005, the mess was already there and was predicated on Bush's policy of pushing universal home ownership.
bookofdoubt: Most of this debt was caused by Bush before he left office and gave it to AIG and the banks with no payback. Our President gave loans to the auto industry and they are being PAIDBACK. This debt belongs to Bush moreso than President Obama because his policies put us in this mess in the first place. You and the "wingnuts" only blame Harry Reid for this mess to make him the scapegoat. We have a "republican" senator who had his zipper down. He supported a black African country called Uganda and influenced through C STREET to kill gays. He should have been helping the blacks and gays here in Nevada instead of hurting. We also have a state gov't that has a "republican" govenor that assulted a women and divorced another treating women like garbarge while Nevada went down the tubes. Sandavol(his right hand man) a "republican" did nothing to help stop this crisis either. And the wonder Sharron Angle. Served 6 or 7 years in the state. What did she do? NOTHING! Except destroy the education system to the point of Nevada being the worst if not one of the worst education states for years. Harry Reid did not cause this mess. The 6 big banks did with the subprimes. "Wingnuts" start looking at the facts and stop venting like temper tantrum children.
hass46
From George Washington thru George W. Bush the government spent 9.5 trillion dollars. In 19 months Obama has spent 3.4 trillion. Your fancey math can't hide the truth. This president is a Socialist that wants this country to go broke, so to give total power to the government. Look who he surrounds himself with. They are all socialist leaning people. There is an old saying....tell me, who you hang around with and I will tell you, who you are.
Scott has had his problems too. I pray this divides the Tea Party so Senator Reid can win. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when Angle found out about Scott. And lets face facts. At least Senator Reid has no scandals. Demorats need to get fired up and go vote in November. How can we help get them out to vote?
johnniek
Can you spell "structural deficit" because based on your post, there's no possibility you understand the concept. If you like I can explain it using one syllable words. Seriously, read my prior post and, if you disagree with it, respond to the specifics of what I said without silly talking point generalities
Can anyone imagine a more ridiculous view than "This president is a Socialist that wants this country to go broke . . . ."
johnniek:
I strongly disagree with "supply side" philosophy but it is pure nonsense to suggest that someone who beleives it wants the country to go broke. I don't even go that far with Boenhner who is saying no to legislation purely for short term political gain.
The mainstream knows that deficits are a necessary evil that has to be carefully managed. But that doesn't mean those that approve a budget which contains deficits are themselves evil. If it did, I can think of 535 people who one would have to call evil. And watch, most of those "tea party" candidates who do get elected (except maybe Angle) will approve deficits in some form or another because of political reality and no matter how much they rail against them during the 'silly season' to get your vote.
Yeas Angle is another professional politician that want to give Scientology massages to convicted criminals.
All tea party people should vote for the tea-party not Angle. The tea party is endorsed by Glenn Buck and Sean Hannity. Go tea party.
First of all, if you do not think, that Obama thinks, and acts like a socialist, you are deaf, blind and stupid. Next, Congress spends money, Presidents sign bills into law. If our debt is all caused by Bush, then what is Obama doing? Is he spending money and causing debt? Or is he the good fairy? The Republican party will take back the House and Senate this fall and Obama is gone in 2012. It will happen. When it does, hass46, quoyn520, and all the other highly intelligent, better than anyone else crowd, can tell us less fortunate, small minded people how.
More evidence that you don't understand structure deficits. There are two ways to reduce deficits, increase taxes or reduce expenditures. My guess is that the latter is your method of choice. The budget consists of discretionary spending (38%), and spending required by statute. Well over half of the discretionary spending is defense. When you add in Homeland security and the rest of the politically untouchable spending, the flexibility is non-existent. The reality is to cut spending you have to change the law, i.e. get congress to agree to reduce either defense/homeland security or reduce entitlements. Most conservatives will tell you to reduce entitlements which are mandated by law and can't be changed using the budget process. What the omit from their rhetoric is that the vast majority of entitlements are social security and medicare which are self funded so when you cut those programs you cut revenue on a dollar for dollar basis (actually prior to this year you would have cut revenue by more than you would have cut spending).
Bottom line is you can talk about deficit reduction when you are ready to cut our defense spending which is more than the rest of the world put together. There are a lot of us "liberals" who would be very happy to cut spending especially on defense but the Republicans won't agree to or allow any reduction in defense spending.
johnniek, you just called yourself a small-minded person. Congratulations, that is the only thing you have posted all day that is the truth. As for Socialism, you wouldn't know what Socialism was if it bit you on the ass.
When I say that I think it is possible that Ashjian is a shill, that makes no inference that he is doing so knowingly. Others have pointed out that Ashjian does not seem to be a good businessman, and his intellectual capability can be called into question.
Therefore one can reasonably poke fun at him and question if he is capable of recognizing that he could be used without his knowledge or consent.
Overall I am cynical about this given where the exposure is coming from. Ashjian might take the view that any publicity is good publicity. But that doesn't take away from the argument that any votes that go to him are votes that won't go to Angle and are therefore good for Reid.
Given how Reid was putting out anti-Lowden ads before the primary it is not unreasonable to think he would try to take advantage of this potential vote-splitter.
In all, there are a few possible scenarios that could be playing out here, all of which are just politics as usual.
By hss46-well said!
Okay NEVADA, here is the formula for Disaster!
Sharron Angel *(/) + Tea Party + Palin+ Bush+ Beck = Schizophrenia- is a serious mental illness characterized by a disintegration of the process of thinking and of emotional responsiveness.[1] It most commonly manifests as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking with significant social or occupational dysfunction.
Again Vice President Dick Cheney had a "back-door closed meeting" in 2004 with several top Energy CEO's from around the world. We are definitely feeling the effects today, would you say?
Also, if America is for Deregulations of Government. Great, let's deregulate everything starting with:
Dept of Agriculture; Dept of Commerce; Dept of Defense; Dept of Energy; Dept of Health and Humans Services; Dept of Technology, Dept of Justice; Dept of Veterans Affairs;
Dept of (EPA) Environment Protection Agency
FAA-Federal Aviation Administration
FDA-Food and Drug Administration
FCC-Federal Communication Commission.
The list goes on. Let's De-REGULATE everything. Then we will have NO Government involvement and everyone will live happily-ever-after.
More on cutting deficits. For fy 2010, nonsecurity discretionary spending was $533 B out of total expendituresof almost $4T, or roughly 13% of the budget. As an example, of that total, only about $46B is for education. So if Angle were to get her way, she would cut out D of Ed and reduce government spending by a hair more than 1/10 of 1% and would reduce the deficit by about 3%. Of course that loss in education funding would not be made up by the states so there would be massive cut backs in education, with teachers being laid off right and left.
If you still want to cut expenditures and refuse to cut in the defense area, then lets look at mandatory spending. That totals over $2T per year and is composed principally of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid which, except for medicaid are self funded. The "other mandatory programs" include, FEMA, VA, Military pensions and the like. Do you want to cut there?
AS you are aware, the last Bush deficit in fy 2009 was $1.4T and the 2010 deficit is currently projected by CBO to be $1.47T, including about $253B from the STimulus Bill. There will be another $250B of Stimulus spending in FY 2011 (with the rest of Stimulus $887B coming in the form of targeted tax cuts).
Now add to the above the effect of tax cuts which are due to lapse at the end of 2010. If the cuts for the top 2% are extended that will add more to the deficit and the republicans don't want to address any offsets to keep the deficit from growing as a result of those cuts.
So now where would you have had Obama cut spending to reduce the structural deficit? You tell me, because I'm all ears. Maybe now you start to understand the concept of structure deficits that are, on the spending side, a function of mandatory items which a President can't change through the budget process.
ggigs pointed out yesterday that CBO released its conclusion that the Iraq war cost less than the Stimulus Bill. While that is a correct statement, what he left out of his post was that, according to that same release by CBO, the Stimulus added 1.75% to GDP or approximately $1.5T, in the first 2 quarters of 2010 alone.
johnniek "This president is a Socialist that wants this country to go broke, "
that is as intelligent as the birthers claim of a 47 year Muslim plan to plant a president with the name of Barack Hussein Obama in the White House. Are you a birther too?
Or just afraid of all those terrorist Marxist/Muslim/ Anchor Babies?
The crazy teabaggers are toast, as it should be.
Teamster:
While I agree with almost all of your policy postings, I do not have the confidence that you have in the outcome of the election. The right uses its propaganda techniques, not becuase their polices work but because their political rhetoric does. Let me remind you that the median IQ is 100 so 50% of the folks out there have a two digit IQ. We've seen some of them here. But as my grandmother used to say, "from your lips to god's ears."
hss46.....
Don't worry, all will be fine.
The truth always wins.
Wait a minute. First there were RINO (Republican In Name Only). Now you're telling me that the radical offspring children created by the Republican Party, the Tea Party, are so screwed up in the head they have no unity and each one is claiming the moral high ground?
I guess the contention is that some have lost their focus and there are actually TEAPARTINOs (Tea Party In Name Onlys)?
What's next?
Hating Eliminated Lazy Leftover Income Financiers In Name Only (HELLIFINO) Party?
It's gettin' crazy out there, people. Get out your popcorn and sodas. The show began and it's still going on without commercial interruption.
I still go with the Sanity Party over the Tea Party. Senator Reid gets my vote in November.
Ashjian is a fraud and a scumbag- read the article yourself:
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/aug...
So many people here are calling Scott Ashjian a crook, a fraud under mountains of debt, a lying idiot and even marginally mentally retarded.
Sounds like a Tea-Party candidate to me.
One day people are going to wake up and realize that the "Socialism Boogie Man" under the bed is nothing more than a story used to frighten children and conservatives.
That's why so many people like MarketYou say don't trust the media. Because the media can call them on their lies. It was Edward R. Murrow that openly criticized Senator Joseph McCarthy and his "Red Scare" campaign. Murrow shined the light on the big, bad monster and showed it was just petty tyrant McCarthy using his influence and power to scare people into thinking his way. Once Murrow exposed McCarthy for what he really was, McCarthy quickly shriveled up and crawled away.
What this country needs now, almost as much as jobs, is hope and a hero like Edward R Murrow.
gsmall is scared to death of Scott.
The republican teabagger party is broken.
Harry Reid wins big.
gsmall is scared to death of Scott.
= But liars and crooks don't scare me.
scooter ashcan will siphon votes from moron mangle and the far right cry loud and hard. its too bad for them, good for nevada.
Ever get the idea that you've been played for a fool, that you are nothing but a mark for con artists like Sen. Harry Reid?
Reid has a spoiler working for him....
to gbigs:
"What a terrible thing to have lost one's mind. Or not to have a mind at all. How true that is."
Dan Quayle (Republican), 44th U.S. V.P. (1989--1993)
Does that mean that gbigs has one of those little mustaches?
It seems like you're the one doing all the name calling and lying.
"In fact the DEMS did it using Fannie Mae to push houses at THEIR inner city poor." I seem to remember a Sci-Fi movie with a giant robot stomping on houses, but I don't think it was pushing them and I don't think the robots name was Fannie-Mae. :-P
You go Scott! You are the perfect solution. We can get rid of Reid but not have the humiliation of the career politician Sharron Angle (R), as our Jr Senator from Nevada, rubbing elbows with our esteemed Sr Senator John Ensign (R).
Oh, Happy Days!
This is a off topic, but I keep seeing this pop up in one form or another.
"Scientology massages" supposedly endorsed by Sharron Angle.
I watched the clip. If you haven't, you should.
ANYBODY who has now or has had in the past a family member or close friend who abuses or abused drugs and/or alcohol, would give ANYTHING to help their loved one get help and STOP THE ABUSE. We don't care if it's massage, butterfly bellies, or divine intervention; we'll take ANYTHING we can get that might HELP! The experience of having a practicing alcoholic or addict (or both) in your life and home IS HORRIBLE! Everybody looses, and ultimately the abuser dies. Then those of us left behind live our lives with broken hearts, broken spirits...we are just broken, period.
I am not an Angle supporter, but I seriously resent Harry Reid using this as a political wedge against Angle. It is totally INAPPROPRIATE! And I also resent bloggers, using it to get a laugh, or making light of it. You too liberals -- unless you know what your talking about STFU.
And from now on I am going to call people out on this, including Reid. It hurts too much and you should ALL know better.
ok, done.
Let us review.
gbigs has stated:
"Left wingers are also small minded, if they cannot counter you with logical argument, they will sink to petty name calling, and personal attacks, as they are doing on these boards to Angle."
But in a prior post:
"Democrat/Obamabots/Koolaiders:
--- insipid, blind, pack mentality
--- glass house finger pointers
--- abusive USERS of others
--- arrogance
--- ignorance
--- rigid fascistic intrinsic value set
--- race carding
--- hypocrisy
--- entitlement mentality
--- class warfare agents
--- deceitfull
--- dishonest, corrupt, ankle-biting
--- warmongering
--- income redistributors
--- power mongers
--- elitist
--- demagoguing
--- youth poisoners
--- tax dodgers
--- history revisors
--- islam defenders
--- ethics violators
--- sexual deviants
--- wife cheaters
--- global warming cultists
--- appeasers of dictators and USA bashers
--- jury nullifiers
--- campaign finance violators
--- union water carriers
--- abortion perps
--- party of slavery
--- USA haters"
That kinda sounds like name calling to me.
Most of what has been said here about Ms. Angle has used her own words as a point of reference. I know what she's said sounds bad, but that's because it is.
But if you want to talk about name calling and shills, how about this gem from bookofdoubt...
"I am the incompetent Harry Reid and I approve this message. Vote for Sharron Angle before I, Harry REID, completely destroy this country."
Or another favorite from gbigs, although this one seems to be similar to the kind of things found spewing out of one or another of Rush Linbaugh's orifices:
"Left wingers also accept myth readily, and most of them are oddly cult like in behavior.
Remember, the Nazis were really left wingers, as are the communists. These are the political phenom of great destruction."
But a quick couple of quotes on the history of the Nazi Party has a different take:
"Nazi ideology stressed the failures of communism, liberalism, and democracy." and "the Nazis promoted a national rebirth of their country; opposed communism and liberalism; appealed to the working-class"
Soooo... when gbigs equates Democrats with Nazis and Communists he is, umm.., I know there's a word for it... oh yes... Lying.
Or of course he could just be horribly misinformed.
bookofdoubt and johniek-
If you two are unemployed you have my sympathy. If not perhaps you could find something constructive to do with your time. I shutter to think all the hours of your life you can't get back, due to the fact that you have given it away to your "same old - same old" postings.. Do either of you ever have a happy day?
Albeit, I'm sure Judy would be lost without your all important diatribes.
gbigs: There you go again, playing that Hitler card.
The Hitler card:
"Usually a last resort defense, the Hitler card is usually played by those who know they are losing a debate, but are too stubborn to actually admit it. A common last ditch effort in a heated political debate to steer the argument back in one's favor by declaring your opponent's position to be that of Adolf Hitler. Often times this is done with little thought as to whether or not Adolf Hitler was for or against a particular side." urbandictionary.com

to TheAntiWingnut:
Thank you. I get the same inspiration from you, and from AmericanMan, BobbyG, gypc_dave, hss46 and PurplePower, too.
The Daily Show deserves another Emmy, especially for that episode and the one where Jon took Beck's reasoning to its logical conclusion on blackboards, and then stuck the hitler moustache on Bert.
Thank you Antiwingnut, Bluejeans and the rest.
While G' seems to think Democrats/Liberals/Anyone-other-than-Conservatives hate them, freedom and America itself this is just not true. I love our country more than G', SRock, bo'd and their group will ever know or understand. And I don't hate them, if anything I feel sorry for them. It must be rough living day-to-day having so much hate for ideas that are different from theirs that they'll say and do anything to put those people and their ideas down.
Everytime I saw and heard that bow-tied weasel I wished somebody would hog-tie him, and it was Jon Stewart. Long live Jon Stewart! And Stephen Colbert!
Fr. Guido Sarducci, interviewed on The Colbert Report on 6/23/10, gave illuminating insight on Glenn Beck's visit to the Vatican, revealing himself to be the "individual" who told Beck his work is "wildly important". http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert...
You go Scott! You are the perfect solution. We can get rid of Reid but not have the humiliation of the career politician Sharron Angle (R), as our Jr Senator from Nevada, rubbing elbows with our esteemed Sr Senator John Ensign (R).
= So basically you want to elect a Reid that lies on his candidate paperwork and is incompetent with money and running a business?
Real Smart.
(Sarcasm off)
The Bush Administration consisted of the following members/individuals who had a direct involvement to this "GREAT 2ND DEPRESSION of 2009/2010- :
Jim Nussle, Director of Finance 2003-2007
Stephen McMillin & Clay Johnson -Deputy Director of Finance 2003-2008.
The two Republicans in the top ten are banking heir Peter Fitzgerald of Illinois at $26.1 million and majority leader Bill Frist of Tennessee at $15.1 million. Frist's family founded HCA, which has become the largest for-profit hospital chain in the country, with annual revenues of nearly $20 billion last year. Frist reported blind trusts valued at between $6.5 million and $31 million.
This social layer of millionaires and near-millionaires in the US House and Senate pushed through the Bush administration's massive tax cut for the rich, while somehow dropping the much touted per-child tax credit for families with incomes less than $20,000. (Please see U.S. Senate.gov., to confirm)
Bill Frist, served as Chairman for the Finance and Banking Committee from 2002-2007. Please people before you send e-mails read your history! It's FREE on the Internet. Please take a look at: U..S. Senate 2004 Bill H.R.3289 under legislative history! If you want to know the truth, and what happen to the U.S. Financial meltdown LONG before Obama took office please READ!
But the truth might scare you? Dare to learn what vote each member of the U.S. Congress and Senate did on your behave.
Have a good night.
Since all the Republicans and Tea Parties HATE Government, why don't they do the following:
1. Do not accept any Social Security (if entitled)
2. Do not accept Medicare (if entitled)
3. Their children CAN NOT APPLY FOR FEDERAL LOANS FOR COLLEGE ( I forgot, they don't read)
4. Do not accept any FHA Loans
5. Do not accept any Unemployment Beneifts.
6. Do not fly on FAA Planes ( travel only in their cars or by horses) Like the "good-old-days" Remember?
7. Do not send your CHILDREN to public schools. (Enroll them with Rush, Hannity's and Beck's kids) after all, you guys can AFFORD the tuition???
Do not accept ANYTHING from the Federal Government. If you are a GOP or a Tea Party voters and are receiving ANY of the above Government Entitlement Programs. Give it UP. Send the MONEY BACK!
After all, that is what you want RIGHT???
Antiwingnut:
Don Novello (Fr. Guido Sarducci) is from the same County on the "North Coast" (Great Lakes) where I grew up.
geebigs went off his rocker again today, see his tirades on the article about Sen. Reid at the L.V. Energy Summit.
If this person Scott A. gets on as a Tea party or independent, Harry Reid has won. Let us pray for it.
