GOP now has about a 4 percent lead in early voting, presenting challenge to Democrats

Republicans continued to turnout in higher numbers than Democrats on Tuesday, stretching their lead in the urban areas to almost 4 percent. If Democrats can’t hold that number below 6 percent going into Election Day, the carnage could be ugly for them.

Democrats hope to do better in the final two days, but Tuesday and Wednesday, the mobile early voting sites are in more GOP areas, including Sun City communities.

Total Clark early voting percentages relative to registration:

Democrats: 24.2 percent

Republicans: 28.0 percent
