That's among the data in a new report on voter registration trends compiled by the crack folks at Applied Analysis. The numbers showed Democrats led the way during the last three months of 2009 at 43.1 percent, followed by Republicans (25.2 percent) and nonpartisans (23.3 percent). Independents are now creeping toward 16 percent in Clark.
Lots of great data in the report, which I have posted at right.

Combine the numbers, add in a few disaffected Dems, and the news is really bad for "Shovel Ready Harry."
Michael...
I think you are peering into a half-empty glass, and half of that half is not yours to claim. Go ahead, enjoy that 1/4 cup at the bottom; lots of backwash in there, though.
To bad that most of the registration voters in Nevada are still bottom feeders. LOL
Lets just say that at (25.2 percent) We Republicans still get things done.
Summary: The NonPs will do the deciding.
Independent voters are the most self-absorbed voters of all. You are supposed to get on your knees for them if you want their vote.
That is outstanding news.
This weekend on February 6th at the Palace Station Casino/Hotel on Sahara, the Independent American Party of Nevada is having their Clark County Committee meeting to identify who will be running for office in Clark County and in other state wide offices.
The news media will be reporting the names of the Independents who are running.
What is remarkable, is that so many Americans are standing up to become Independents because they are fed up with the two party system and the Independents are tired of the fighting.
Also, the Independents are common citizens, who like our ancestors are stepping up to the plate because of the sickness of the two parties, the Democrats and the Republicans.
I would encourage everyone to vote for the Independent candidates on the ballot this year.
Nevada used to be known as the Independent State because we had our own mind. We had one of the nation's best representing us in the past, Paul Laxalt, him and Barry Goldwater of Arizona were instrumental in shaping our strength in the western United States and we need to remember that.
This election year should be good for the Independent candidates but they need to work hard and soon to get their voices heard and so the voters can at least make a well thought decision on who to vote for.
