Can you really trust someone who in the morning says - Don't go to Las Vegas. In the evening they say they like it. He did not however really reverse his comment as he is not saying visit Nevada. In short, the president does not want people or companies to visit Las Vegas, although tourism is the #1 business, which brings in tax revenue to the government.
In short, can we lay odds on what the president really thinks? Would we put money down in a casino on what he really thinks? I think not - its a losing proposition. Its time for Reid - Obama to visit Nevada together - each and every city and meet the people. Then Obama might start to be a bit more believable.
In the meantime, My bet is that Reid is out of office this year.

Vegas (thank god) is dying a slow death, this pathetic place is Garbage, dead last in Education,first in Foreclosures, Unemployment, water quality, the roads here look like a 3rd world country, this hellhole is known for nothing but Hookers, booze, gambling, horrible drivers, only an idiot would want to come here..

I read the above ^^^^^^^ comment on the other article, for some people not liking Las Vegas they sure waste their time in here but then again these are the idiots who think it's a MUST for them to gamble and it's a MUST for them to have hookers in their hotel rooms when they visit Vegas. Hahaha! People have choices to make and people choose to come to Vegas to have a good time because it is the entertainment capital of the world. No one is holding a gun on someone else's head and forcing them to gamble.

I agree with both of you, When Las Vegas is set on the basis of such a "fragile society" please,...I can never remember Vegas on those terms,....I can see where a Federal official is talking to Children, but when you start talking in terms of adults who in whatever context know how to manage they're finances and still can afford to come here,...Las Vegas will never go broke....

President Obama just was giving his advice to people not to go overboard. Didn't really get a negative signal from him. I think he will come up with a program for a speed train. Top management at the casino's should lobby for a speed train to be built.. Would create jobs, offer faster travel service, and get the feeling of slowness to change.

Our President can take the sting from his comments by
merely saying "gambling" instead of Vegas. There
are many other ways to lose money besides coming
to Las Vegas....casinos all over the country,
lotteries, horse racing, etc. etc. I sincerely
hope that he recovers from his "foot-in-mouth
