A Nevada Day invite emailed from Jim Gibbons' campaign manager, Robert Olmer, gives notice of a Nov. 11 fundraiser for the governor at the Robert M. Lee car collection in Reno. The event is hosted by the law firm closest to Gibbons, McDonald, Carano, Wilson, where his lawyer and Athletic Commission appointee, Pat Lundvall, and ex-chief of staff, Mike Dayton, work. This one could get Gibbons close to six figures for his campaign, leaving him only behind everyone else running in cash on hand.
The email is below:

Technorati

McDonald Carano Wilson's association with Gov. Gibbons is damaging the firm's reputation. Gov. Gibbons DHHS administration forced the "Family Reunification Plan" on Clark County's children. As a result, the wrongful deaths of Clark County children are up 200% this year.
Gov. Gibbons personal attorney, Gary Silverman, is not responding to the complaints already receiving court ordered judgments.
Perhaps McDonald Carano Wilson will be defending Atty Silverman for his malpractices.
We recommend all State of Nevada attorneys familiarize themselves with Abdullah Al-kidd v. John Ashcroft.
What kind of insensitive idiot holds a fundraiser on Veteran's day!? Is it just me, or isn't that kind of insulting to our veterans? Gibbons should be ashamed of himself (not just for this, but his entire governorship). What a way to spend veteran's day-- instead of visiting with soldiers and saying thank you for your sacrifice, this idiot of a governor is trying to raise money.
Must be a snoozer for sure.
Maybe the firm contributed to Agassi's big show at the Wynn v. Weinberg show.
I thought Hitler's Mercedes parade car was at the IP?
JSETZMAN your malignment of Gibbons' insensitivity to veterans is wholey unjustifiable. He has served our country as well as served the families of our Nevadan troops. When the remains of my heroic nephew, who gave his life while fighting for our freedom in Afghanistan, were laid to rest, the Governor stood with us and shared our grief. There are many other families, sadly, who have also known the support of this veteran.Gibbons does have his shortcomings, we all do, but this is not one of them. I choose a different perspective. This event is scheduled in conjunction with honoring those who have served.
This event was very patriotic in nature, I was there. Heartfelt recognition and thanks to our veterans were iterated by the Governor. Oh, by the way he's a veteran too.
