That's the gist of a letter from Mayor Oscar Goodman and Councilman Steve Ross to county commissioners, embroiled in that never-ending dispute over who should be let a contract for more than $100 million worth of work. They want the county to get the work going. The letter is at right.

THANK YOU!
Dear Commissioners,
Why are we delaying the award of the Beltway contract to Las Vegas Paving? We all know that LVP is Steve Ross's hand picked winner. And what Steve wants, the unions get-end of story. Furthermore, why would we hire a qualified out of state contractor who might do a fine job for 4 million less? This could set a dangerous precedent-hiring a contractor who is not in the clique.
We have thousands of local union loafers who are hurting right now. Jobs i.e. slow motion work combined with subsequent change order requests- are in jeopardy. We urge you to reconsider your recent rulings, and put the union "craftsmen" to work. Their business agents are counting on a lucrative season to make it a Steve Ross Christmas.
Sincerely, Oscar and Steve.
All local government contracts come with a juice meter thats how the winners are picked. LOL
