Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tells Homeland Security boss to cancel a FEMA exercise (nuclear bomb simulation on the Strip). I'd bet Janet Napolitano listens -- or already has.
The letter is at right.

The Palos verde nuke site outside of Phoenix is a good place for a drill.
Shouldn't our Governor have sent a similar request? Somebody please get him out of bed.
How did are city get picked.
They can't just come in and run their "simulation" without the local authorities agreeing to it anyway.
POWERPLAY : Really, your spelling borders on laughable. It's spelled OUR ! (LMAO)
I think this is shortsighted and just plain stupid. We in Vegas seem to think that nothing bad (beyond the economy) will happen here. Guess what? This would be an ideal target for terrorists. Hit the nation's play city and you will do more than just physical damage and the impact will be felt worldwide. We need to run exercises like this to make sure if something did happen that we would be able to handle it and recover.
how about Yucca mountain, and then throw away the key....
