The City Hall project is unpopular even when you try to put the best spin on it

That's what a poll done by supporters of the project found -- surprised they let me have it! The survey also contains information on a City Council race and various special interests. I have posted it at right.

  1. DA!!!....this is a no brainer....

  2. 65 percent of the respondents are age 65 or older. I could be wrong, but I don't think the voter demographic skews quite that old.

  3. I think the City Hall project is profoundly stupid too, given the City's, County's and State's dire income projections.

However, there's a high probability that the City will win the court battle over the initiative and referendum.

Which then gets us to the question of the wisdom of Culinary's leadership wasting tons of money on the signature gathering campaign, on the attorneys fees for this lawsuit, and on the election campaign public relations materials Jon Ralston unearthed. Who is the profoundly stupid decision maker at the Union who ignored the fundamental problems with the referendum and initiative and decided to forge ahead ANYWAY? D? Pilar? The lawyer?

It just kills me to see the nice, hard working Culinary employees at the casinos, who really are not paid that much money, yet are paying union dues to fund this idiotic folly.
