Former Republic boss Steve Kalish has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against ex-State Sen. Mark James, who later became a county commissioner, for breach of contract and six other causes of action. Kalish claims James cheated him out of millions after the former elected official took over the Frias Cab Co. and then was given an ownership stake. Kalish says James had agreed to compensate him for helping to negotiate his agreement with Frias, which the suit claims brought James a performance bonus of $17 million. It also alleges Kalish was the de facto CEO when James could not perform the duties for mysterious reasons.
Read the nasty suit at right.

This will be very interesting. Kalish helped James land that gravy job and was supposed to get a fee? Now James backs out of paying him his agent type fee. Frank Schreck on the sided of Steve Kalish and Woody Woodbury on the side of James? This will be fun to watch unfold.
