The bipartisan Western Governors Association recently sent a letter to the president-elect about energy. I wonder if Jim Gibbons knows about it -- the letter doesn't sound like the bluesy lyrics of "I'm a coal man."
Read it at right.

Point 5, first bullet point speaks directly to clean coal technologies.
If the WGA didn't expect clean coal to be a part of our future there wouldn't be goals on the reduction of emissions from them.
"Near-zero greenhouse gas emissions from NEW COAL-FIRED electricity generation..."
By the way, how many acres of solar panels would it take to get close to the power generation out of new clean coal power plant?
We should continue to develop renewable energy sources but we also shouldn't throw the baby out with the bath water.
