The Titus-Porter energy debate continues

As Jon Porter continues to pummel Dina Titus on her vote against a resolution in 2007 supporting drilling, it's worth checking out Titus' proposed amendment and her remarks. See Page 498 in the Senate Journal posted at right.

  1. This is so typical of the Porter "half truth" machine that, unfortunately for his past opponents, has worked well for him. But Dina Titus has something none of the prior candidates have enjoyed...an overwhelming registration advantage, and the ability to eloquently and effectively fire back at this under-achieving Congressman. Nevada does not need another long term/long serving "back bencher" in Congress. Jim Gibbons spent 10 years there, and could accomplish NOTHING of note or real value for our state. And of course now he's "come home" to lead the most disastrous first (and hopefully only) term of a Nevada Governor in history. (that has to make Bob List feel better that he's finally been outmatched for worst Governor ever).

The nation and all of Congress will shift heavily to the Democrats this next election cycle, and we need another D voice there to make sure Nevada gets what it needs and deserves, to fight Yucca, and to have someone there that isn't more focused on holding on to a Congressional seat that he does nothing with, votes with a worthless President nearly 90% of the time, and barely exceeds The Love Gov in working effectively in Congress for the time he's been there.

I for one hope she kicks his A#$.
