After last weekend's game against Utah, this team is still very optimistic.

I feel like last week, it was all about practice. The whole thing was that we had nothing to lose. We showed self-respect and pride. That's all that is. People just ran to the ball. We never left anyone out to dry.

You never saw anyone hanging their heads, anything like that. What we'd been through the two previous games on defense, if we could go through that and bounce back, then we can make it through anything. For us to be in the position we've been in, it's like we're proving it to ourselves.

Now we're heading to Albuquerque.

The thing with New Mexico is to understand that the way we're viewed as a team is as a very beatable team.

That's just what everyone is saying. So, of course, going in, New Mexico might think that. They're gonna play extremely hard, with or without their head coach. It's the same type of situation that we've been in as far as facing adversity.

Adversity either breaks you up all together, or you decide to fight. If you ask me, this is a great opportunity for them, because they see it as 'Here's a very beatable team coming to our home, and this can change our entire season.'

If guys are taking it lightly, then we're going to do our best to wake them up and make them understand that this is a huge game and we need to handle business this weekend.

Even at 2-5, there's still a lot of belief around here. This is about want.

If we want something bad enough, we'll go out and do it. It's been the same in the past.

We decided at the end of last season, when we went through five or six losses in a row, at one point we met together and said 'Hey, you want to do this or not?' And everyone decided that we did. Then we won two of our last three games.

We were an entirely different team after that. This could be the same situation.

If we want it bad enough, we'll take care of it.
