If Don Beebe doesn't knock it out of his hand from behind -- and it doesn't snow -- Leon Lett is going to receive a college degree from UNLV on Saturday.
The former All-Pro defensive lineman is going to receive the parchment nearly two decades after his NFL playing career ended.
I admire him for that.
And you can say what you will about those bonehead plays in the Super Bowl and on Thanksgiving Day that cost the Cowboys a touchdown and a victory. But if Lett doesn't make them, this blog never gets written.

The miscues mentioned above were ranked No. 2 and No. 3 on ESPN's "25 Biggest Sports Blunders," giving credence to the notion that if ESPN was around in 1908, Fred Merkle would be a lot more famous.
