Well, there’s always the World Baseball Classic …

NOW

There is no more sense of urgency, or whatever the Rebels would say after nearly every game they lost.

The UNLV basketball season is over.

Now what do I do?

The first post NIT early-exit news release I received from the UNLV sports information office was to announce the Rebels' cross country recruiting class.

Nothing against guys who run long distances in their short pants, but I'm probably in the small minority who think watching guys play basketball in their short pants is a little more exciting.

Anyway, does anybody know of a good place to watch the NCAA tournament? I've gotten spoiled sitting at courtside the past couple of years.

THEN

Thumbs up or thumbs down on The Brown Suit?

Some say it took a lot of nerve for Billy Gillispie, the embattled Kentucky basketball coach, to wear a brown suit to Tuesday's NIT game against the Rebels at old Memorial Coliseum, which is what Adolph Rupp himself used to do in the 1950s, '60s and early '70s, before they built the cavernous arena with his name on it.

But I thought it was kinda cool. Call it a flannel tribute to one of the winningest college coaches of all time.

Maybe all of Gillispie's suits with the bull's-eyes on back were at the cleaners.
