Las Vegas’ Bryce Harper to be featured on E:60

We haven't heard anything new from Bryce Harper for at least a week or two so thanks to ESPN for featuring him on E:60, the all-sports network's version of CBS' 60 Minutes, minus Andy Rooney's unkept eyebrows.

As such, there probably will be some tough questions, but none were included on the 3:31 preview clip that arrived in my e-mail box today.

The spot will air in its entirety at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The only new stuff on the promotional clip consisted of big leaguers Andy Pettitte and Albert Pujols drooling over the Las Vegas High wunderkind.

Well, maybe not drooling. But Pujols did seem impressed when he was asked about Harper hitting a ball more than 500 feet off the back wall of the dome at Tropicana Field.

Whenever somebody asks why I like baseball better than football, and I can't log on to YouTube to find that clip of George Carlin explaining it better than I could, I usually say because whereas millions of Wiffle Balls have been sold, there is no such thing as a Wiffle Football.

Actually, I do member seeing a Wiffle Football once. It was half green and half gold and had holes all over. But you couldn't throw a screwball with it.
