Think it was hot Tuesday? The National Weather Service says the low temperature for the day reached 87 degrees at 5:57 a.m.

That reading broke the previous record high on June 17 for a low temperature of 80 degrees set in 1999 and 2000.

Tuesday's maximum low temp also tied for the second warmest low temperature ever recorded in June, recorded on June 16, 2000, June 28, 1994 and June 29, 1977.

The all time record high minimum temp for the month of June in Las Vegas is 89 degrees and was set on June 30, 1994.

Official temperatures are recorded at McCarran International Airport.
