Gusty winds bring high fire danger, dust advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for Southern Nevada from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday because of winds expected to blow from 15 to 20 mph with higher gusts.

Dry brush and low humidity are expected to raise the danger of wildland fires by afternoon.

The Clark County Air Quality and Environmental Management Department also issued a dust advisory for Wednesday afternoon and evening because of dry, gusty winds.

Temperatures will be in the mid 90s on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, before winds shift overnight and blow from the north and northwest. Thursday's daytime temperatures will drop to the mid 80s before a warm-up on Friday. Temperatures will be in the high 90s, maybe even a 100 degree over the weekend.
