UNLV launched a Web site (http://www.unlv.edu/budget/) this week dedicated to explaining how state budget cuts are affecting the university.
Officials have posted answers to frequently asked questions such as "What is the current budget cut?" and "What about future cuts?"
Also included are links to documents including memos detailing the hits UNLV has taken and could take if it loses more funding. The school will offer about 500 fewer classes next year, partly a result of administrators' decision to save money by reducing the number of part-time instructors at the university.
The Web site is to be updated with information on campus budget meetings.

If only we had cut those COLAs, none of this would have been necessary and UNLV's walkways would be paved with rose petals. It's a good thing the education system is not better in this state or the kids might brighten up enough to realize how the boomers are bending them over and giving it to them from behind.
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Maybe if UNLV had fewer professors making $100,000+ and not teaching courses, the school would be better off.
Show me a university or college where all professors teach everyday and I'll show you schools that don't get a damn dime of private research, or even government sponsored research grants. People like R-Linn are frequently caught with their brains "off" and their mouths "open." And the closest they've ever been to a university is probably when they drove by it on their way to work that any high school graduate can do.
