Nevada Power Co. crews arrived at Eastern Avenue and Flamingo Road today to discover a tent had blown into some power lines and that 1,000 customers had lost electricity, a Nevada Power spokesman said.

The outage began about 12:30 p.m.

Repair crews had to remove debris first, then gradually restore electricity to both business and residential customers, the Nevada Power spokesman said. No details about where the tent came from were available.
