What do women, architects, Unitarians and a labor union have in common?
They dislike coal.
Members from each of these groups will announce opposition to three coal-fired power plants proposed in Nevada during press conferences
tomorrow.
According to a release from the Nevada Clean Energy Campaign, the groups will make the announcement during simultaneous press conferences in Reno and
Las Vegas at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17.
According to the release, the campaign has more than 1,000 postcards asking Gov. Jim Gibbons to call for a moratorium on the construction of new
coal-fired power plants.
