Ben Harper played for President Barack Obama at the University of Wisconsin, The Roots rocked out for him in Philadelphia, and John Legend crooned for him in Columbus, Ohio.
In Las Vegas, singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will provide the music for a Democratic rally this Friday featuring Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Bareilles, a California native, is best known for her song, "Love Song," which earned her two Grammy nominations in 2009.
First Lady Michelle Obama, who is not expected to attend Friday's rally, invited Bareilles to perform at the G-20 summit in Pittsburgh in 2009 and at the First Family's Easter Egg Roll this year.
When Obama last visited Vegas in July, singer Sarah McLachlan and hometown heroes The Killers welcomed him.









Last evening, I received a phone call from the Nevada Democrat Party inviting me to attend the Obama speech on Friday.
