Mari Nakashima, Heck's spokeswoman, said Heck will vote for Angle.

"Joe Heck has consistently said that he will support the Republican ticket this November and has worked hard to promote Republican candidates at all levels this year from Sharron Angle down to the bottom of the ticket," Nakashima said. "Dr. Heck's point, to an undecided voter in that race, was that everyone should gather all the information they can before making a decision."

Republican Congressional candidate Joe Heck appears to be having second thoughts about his support for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle.

When asked by a Nevada resident whether he plans to vote for Angle or Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Heck was quoted by Slate as saying: "I'm waiting to see all of the evidence before I make my choice."

That's very different from what Heck said before. He previously endorsed Angle.

In a speech at the Nevada Republican Convention, Heck urged Republicans to rally around Angle to “bring a new direction to Washington, D.C.” He called her work in the state Assembly "exemplary."

Heck also noted in a campaign email that "Team Heck is taking a leadership role in uniting the party."

The Heck campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

  1. anyone with half a brain has come out for Harry Reid.
Sharrron Angle IS just too extreme, even for
    Right-Wing Extremists!!!

  2. Heck: Just one more Republican who can't remember from day to day what he/she previously said because it all depends on which way the wind is blowing on the day you need to know.

  3. I guess Heck's spokeswoman is filling out his ballot.. just in case!

  4. I am not sure how anyone can vote for Angle on her merits. The hatred for Reid is off the hook and it seems to me that anyone voting for Angle is simply voting against Reid and what he stands for, too much spending, taxation without representation and cronyism.

I personally would love to vote for an intelligent candidate that wants to change government for the better, cut unnecessary spending and reduce my taxes, however Angle does not come off that way. She comes off as a crazy woman that would just cause too much grief and confusion if she was elected.

Although, I am not a huge fan of Reid, I know that he is the Senate majority leader and that does have enough benefit for me to vote for him.

Hopefully when Ensign is up for reelection there will be a better candidate to chose from.
