Danny Tarkanian: Sharron Angle misspelling a result of ‘bad typing’

After hearing that his mother endorsed Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, former U.S. Senate candidate Danny Tarkanian, a Republican, quickly drafted his own endorsement for Reid challenger Sharron Angle.

Perhaps too quickly.

Tarkanian misspelled Angle's first name three times in the written statement that was distributed to the media, spelling it one “r” short, “Sharon.”

"I have bad typing," Tarkanian later explained. "I sent it out quickly. I probably should be a little more careful."

Tarkanian and Angle went head to head for several months earlier this year, vying to challenge Reid. Tarkanian lost the June GOP primary and has since started to campaign for Angle.

"I support Sharon Angle for the United States Senate and believe it is vital to our State and country's interest that she is elected," Tarkanian noted in his hastily-written statement.
