D.J. Augustin’s 30 points were more than respectable, but were not enough as the Bobcats fell to the Warriors 99-93 Tuesday night. The rookie also reflected on new Bobcats coach Larry Brown’s weekend presence in Vegas. Meanwhile, San Antonio’s relatively unknown first round pick continued his transition to the point.

During Detroit’s first two games of the NBA Summer League, it sure seemed like the Pistons weren’t going to lose to anyone in Las Vegas. But on Tuesday Detroit didn’t play Rodney Stuckey and Milwaukee made the Pistons pay with a 73-59 loss at the Cox Pavilion.

NBA Day 4: Better late than never

Good thing Danilo Gallinari didn’t make his pro debut in New York City. After the hearty round of boos that rang down on him last month at the NBA draft inside the Theater at Madison Square Garden, surely some Knicks fans would have crucified the 19-year-old Italian star after missing his first five shots and going scoreless for 18 minutes.

NBA Day 4: Minnesota’s muscle debuts

One thing definitely stood out in Kevin Love’s first NBA game Monday night at the Cox Pavilion, the All-American from UCLA doesn’t like to be on the wrong end of the scoreboard. “I never like losing. I’m not use to it. I don’t accept it,” said Love, after Minnesota’s 88-74 setback to Dallas.
