A burlesque club at a major Strip resort has lost its star attraction.

The club in question is the former 1923 Bourbon & Burlesque by Holly Madison at Mandalay Bay. “Former,” as Holly Madison’s name has been cloven from the project on all recent marketing materials (signs and posters and such) and the club’s official website.

This elimination of Madison’s name is evidence of a continuing dispute between the former “Peepshow” star and her partners in the club, chiefly the company that owns and operates the Minus 5 Ice Lounges in Las Vegas.

What has become apparent over the past few months: Madison is no longer involved in the club. Though she hadn’t planned to be a regular performer in burlesque-styled numbers at the club once it was up-and-running in April, Madison has not appeared at Bourbon & Burlesque at all since this spring.

When asked via text about her name no longer being used in promotion of the club, Madison said that she could not talk for “legal reasons.” As for other plans she’s lined up for 2015, aside from wading through issues related to 1923, Madison said: “Hopefully baby No. 2.”

Madison’s partners will certainly have something to say about splitting with Madison. But not yet. Minus 5 Ice Director of Operations Noel Bowman did not return an email for comment.

He is significant in this partnership as he met with Madison initially to talk about a new club in an old spot at Mandalay Bay, where Ivan Kane’s Forty-Deuce was once located, at the bottom of the escalators leading up to Mandalay Place.

Bourbon & Burlesque continues to operate under the same in which it opened. But the woman who helped generate its theme, design and style has left the club. Don’t bet on her returning, either.
