Last week, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry said in an interview with an entity known as ClassicRockRevisited.com that the hunt to replace Steven Tyler as lead singer has thus far proven fruitless. It was the Las Vegas Sun, in the person of former entertainment writer Jerry Fink, that first reported Tyler was leaving the band. Lenny Kravitz, Paul Rodgers, Chris Cornell and Sammy Hagar are among those who have reportedly turned down the spot. In the interview with the music Web site, Perry said the band has not ruled out using a female singer.
