Patti LuPone swipes at Kardashian, Hilton, Electra

After Broadway star Patti LuPone's smackdown of a rude audience member at a Las Vegas showroom last weekend, La LuPone has been all over the blogs, with fans and fellow performers applauding her and rising to her defense, and others somehow not getting her point.

Since that blog post brought such big traffic to the the Sun website, I thought I'd scroll back through my interview tape and see if I had left anything out of my recent story about the actress/singer.

And look what I found! Pretty much unprovoked, LuPone took a swipe at the crop of insta-starlets who are being used as crowd-bait at Vegas nightclubs:

"Getting back to the fame thing," LuPone said. "None of them have talent as far as I'm concerned. Kim Kardashian does not have talent. Paris Hilton does not have talent. Carmen Electra does not have talent. They just are gorgeous creatures, and this is being passed off as talent. Isn't it bizarre that you would pay a s---load of money just to stand beyond a rope and wave at somebody?"

LuPone, who confessed to be "addicted" to Perez Hilton's gossip blog, went on to say that the invasion of the celebretards are a symptom of a larger problem. "That's my other complaint -- don't underestimate the audience. If that's all the choice you have, then you pick that choice."

Patti: You left out Holly Madison. Anyway, let the hot summer feuds begin!
