Another Think coming

“If you’re looking for the next big thing to come out of Las Vegas -- the next Killers or Panic at the Disco -- these kids may have found it. Think is a young Las Vegas band that has just about everything it takes to go the distance — looks, charisma, an original sound, ambition, work ethic, musical genes and connections.”

That’s what we said about young local band Think when we profiled them in the Las Vegas Sun last April. Since then things have been happening fast for the five Thinkers. The released their first album, which available on iTunes. They've headlined several dates at L.A.'s fabled Whiskey A Go Go. They made the cover of Vegas Rocks! magazine’s local bands issue. And on Friday, they’re opening for none other than the fire-breathing monsters of rock, Kiss, at the Pearl at the Palms. When they come back down to earth the next day, they're playing the free Mountain's Edge Music Festival with seven other local acts. And they'll be on the main stage at next week's First Friday arts bash in the downtown Arts District on September 5.

Despite the fearsome reputation of Gene Simmons and crew, Think says they're not scared. "We're honored to get the opportunity to play with such a legendary and respected band," says guitarist Phillip Seaton. "And Kiss has helped launch so many bands -- Van Halen stands out -- we're hoping this show will encourage people to listen to our music."
