So you wanna be a blogger when you grow up?
Well, growing up is optional (and really not recommended), but if you want to learn the tech and techniques to start blabbing online, a quick and cheap 101 course is hitting town this Thursday.
That's when about 2,000 "new media" types -- that includes, bloggers, vloggers, podcasters and such -- buzz into for the New Media Convention, which runs through Saturday at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Three-day admission to the keynote and exhibition hall is $25 at the door.
One out-of-town blogger has already landed, and immediately posted about his accomodations, dinner and how he slept.
And then I immediately posted his blog post and then commented on his blog that I had blogged about his blog. And then posted my post on my Facebook page...
Expect more of this sort of thing through the weekend.
Several podcasters specialising in Las Vegas shows will be there, including The Strip Podcast, Five Hundy By Midnight and The Vegas Gang Podcast. After the expo, you can meet the voices behind your favorite local podcasts at the Vegas Podcast-a-palooza at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Lounge at the Palms.
Carrot Top is expected to show, but don't let that scare you away.
