It was an evening of elegance for little boys and girls at the Prince and Princess Ball for All. The event was held Saturday night at the Black Mountain Recreation Center.

The little royal guests were accompanied by their parents and entertained by a DJ. They made their own crowns or wands and had appetizers fit for a royal tea party.

Staff members at the recreation center were dressed up in princess and Prince Charming attire.

“One little girl ran up and grabbed onto my leg, saying, ‘I love you, Cinderella!’” commented Cinderella herself.

Other royal princes and princesses danced the night away with the youngsters and had Hula Hoops and other fun props for dancing.

“The kids don’t really know what’s going on. They’re just running around having fun,” said Prince Charming.

The event was for ages 3 and up, and most of the attendees looked to be in the preschool-age category.

“I think I had more fun than the kids did,” said Autumn W., who played Cinderella. “It was fun to dress up as a character for the night,” she said.

The Black Mountain Recreation Center is located at 599 Greenway Road. There are always events and classes going on for adults and children. Find out more at www.cityofhenderson.com.
