More information
Ladies, if you’re looking for a great night out to benefit a good cause, head on over to Destination Spa Salon.
This Thursday, May 7, from 5 to 9 p.m., Destination salons in Henderson and Summerlin will be hosting a “Girls Night Out.” Proceeds from the event benefit SAFE House, the Purple Ribbon Council, and Cut It Out — Salons Against Domestic Violence.
General admission is $15 and includes live entertainment by Manny Gomez, food from Jesse’s Pizza, Timbers, and Ta Ta’s Bistro, desserts, and beverages provided by Starbucks. Other ticket packages are available and include the following:
• $30 ticket — admission to the event and a manicure.
• $60 ticket — admission to the event and choice of a pedicure or shampoo and style.
• $90 ticket — admission to the event and choice of a massage, facial or reflexology.
General admission tickets may be purchased at the door, but all others are recommended to be purchased in advance so that the ticket-holder may schedule their appointment.
“It already costs at least $15 to go out and do something, and we’re offering fun and entertainment plus donating it to a worthy cause,” says Megan Miller, assistant manager at the Destination Spa Henderson location. “And with Mother’s Day coming up, it’s a great way to sample some of our services.”
A third of the proceeds are donated to SAFE House, one third go to the Purple Ribbon Council, and a third goes to the stylists at the salon, who then turn around and donate it back to the charities.
This isn’t the first time the salon has sponsored the event. “We had a good turnout last year,” Miller said. “We’re excited to host it again.”
The Destination Spa Salon in Henderson is located at 1450 W. Horizon Ridge Parkway and can be reached at 617-6100. The Destination Manhattan salon is located at 4280 S. Hualapai Way and can be reached at 360-3600.
