Members of the Valley High basketball team gathered Tuesday to celebrate six seniors signing with various levels of college basketball.

They each wore black dress shirts and pants for the ceremony, adding their names to the list of more than 30 former Vikings’ players to reach the next level during coach Brian Farnsworth’s 13-year coaching tenure. Farnsworth stepped down in April.

Valley, with its strong senior class, finished the 2014-15 season with a 26-5 record and appearance in the state tournament play-in game. Four-year guard Cameron Burton, the team’s leader, will play in college at Central Washington, a Division II school in Ellensburg, Wash.

Most of the group are will play in junior colleges, including: Darrion Daniels (Peninsula College), Taveon Jackson (Tohono O’odham College), Shea Garland (Casper College), and Desmond Hudson (Highline College).

Nick Brannon will attend Taylor Made Prep, a new Southern Nevada-based prep school, Farnsworth said.
