Keefer's Picks
Last Week:
1-0
149-35 (.809)
Like the Bishop Gorman football team, I'm going to finish strong. No way they lose this game.
Gorman 52, Reed 12
Can't believe Brewer beat me in the picks for the first time. It's an upset almost as surprising as Reed toppling Gorman, but not quite.
Gorman 49, Reed 17

Reed's better than previously believed. Their special teams will account for at least one score and bad field position for us, although that never really matters with our offense. Finally got to see a little film on Reed and they have solid team, not enough size or speed to stop Gorman though. They'll need a lot to go their way but i think their special teams will give them a couple opportunities. If the forecast of 50 and sunny comes true
49-21 Gorman
if it's windy or snows and Reed can't pass like they'd like, 56-10 Gorman
I hope our boys aren't expecting the same Reed they smoked in 2009 this squad can actually play.
Too bad you can't bet on HS sports. These guys would be millionaires!
Actually Dave you can... offshore sites offer some games. They got some bad press for doing so, sites like 5dimes.com stopped posting HS football lines a few weeks into the season but if you look hard enough they're still out there. There was a line a couple Texas games last week.
You could have bet on Gorman/Chap and Gorman/Armwood, both those games had action before 5dimes.com stopped offering HS lines. They wouldn't have a line for Gorman vs Reed though, it's not televised or nationally significant.
here's a link to a rivals piece done earlier in the season, shortly after this 5dimes stopped taking HSFB action
