Gorman is a virtual lock to win its third state crown in four
years, especially considering McQueen’s top player will miss the game with a
leg injury. Gorman will win by at least five touchdowns.
Gorman 50, McQueen 7
McQueen's chances in this game are the same as Brewer's in winning this year's high school football prognostication championship — zero percent. Instead of playing McQueen, can Gorman just play an All-Star team made up of the rest of the state’s best players?
Gorman 56, McQueen 6
For more coverage, including photos, videos, stats and schedules, check out our high school football section.

I dont know why schools like Siera Vista even play the game? Why dont the schools in that division just forfeit the game? Its not like your going to win- if enough team forfeit the games Gorman will only have their out of conference games to play. How many kids will want to play for Gorman when they only have 3 games a season to play? If the principals of those schools- Pahrump, Clark, Bonanza, Sierra Vista, Durango, Desert Oasis are listening there is your remedee. JMO
Now that Gorman is receiving national attention?
Gorman has been receiving national attention in other things for years. The baseball team has been national recognized for a decade, their boys basketball team as well. Football would be the youngest of the programs to do well. Centennial Girls basketball team has been nationally ranked several times in the past ten years, Rancho's baseball team. Vegas football.
McQueen in Reno has been nationally ranked in football in recent years, and prior to losing to Gorman, Palo Verde football was ranked in the top 100 teams in the country.
Findlay Prep has ZERO players that are even from this state, Findlay Prep isn't even a real school its a giant advertisement for Mr Findlay a UNLV booster.
Most of Gorman's students athletes pay to attend, some have financial assistance, but so do many students that don't play sports. I was one of them i play zero varsity sports and had a sponsor so that i could attend gorman.
Iowa Guy,
Are you suggesting that students that are receiving financial assistance not play any sports? Because that would be unfair and really discriminatory. It would be like saying "financial assistance available-unless you're good at sports because iowaguy will complain"
So Gorman should only give financial aid to kids that don't play sports? I didn't play any sports and I went to Gorman for free. Did they recruit me to play P.E.? Was i recruited to be a fan? I'm well aware of the 2006 article. In 2002 Gorman was under investigation too you know and also in the 90's. An investigation is only the act of looking into a complaint. People get investigated for dog barking violations the fact that there is an investigation does not mean there is any merit it simply means they are looking into it.
CJ Watson plays for the Chicago Bulls, played for the Golden State Warriors, was an SEC stand out at Tennessee and before that led Gorman to two state titles. He received partial financial aid and paid part of his tuition. He paid tuition while I, a none varsity player went for free. Although it is not public record i am certain that the NIAA could subpoena financial assistance records that the diocese keeps. I am certain if people like you saw the actual number that for every 1 athlete that gets financial assistance there are probably 3 that don't play anything.
