Findlay College Prep defeated Houston Westbury Christian, 82-48, late Saturday night in Laurel County, Ky.
D.J. Richardson, the senior guard who will play for Illinois next fall, led the Pilots with 25 points, on 10-of-15 shooting, and he grabbed 6 rebounds.
Texas-bound guard Avery Bradley chipped in with 16 points and 4 assists. UNLV-bound center Carlos Lopez and senior forward Victor Rudd tallied 14 points apiece.
Findlay (21-0) is ranked second in USA Today’s national Super 25 poll. Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei (20-0) is No. 1 in those rankings.
The Pilots had an 18-8 lead after one quarter, but Westbury battled back to cut its deficit to 33-29 at halftime. Findlay belted its foes 49-19 in the second half.
The Pilots will participate in a tournament in Montverde, Fla., next weekend and they return home to play Foothill at the Henderson International School on Feb. 11. Findlay is at Bishop Gorman on Feb. 12.
