Top 10 The top five teams in the Home News weekly high school football rankings haven't changed in three weeks.

And, they probably will remain the same until the postseason.

Top-ranked Palo Verde, No. 2 Bishop Gorman, No. 3 Las Vegas High and No. 5 Del Sol are in the driver's seat to win their respected league titles. All four teams are undefeated in league and have favorable schedules in the final three weeks of the season.

Cheyenne, which is ranked fourth, should also win out in the Northwest Division. The Desert Shields, however, will take second in the league after losing to Palo Verde earlier in the season.

Here's a look at this week's top teams:

1. Palo Verde (7-0): Palo Verde will be tested tomorrow against Arbor View, but should still win convincingly.

2. Bishop Gorman (7-1): Gorman won't be challenged until the Sunset Regional playoffs.

3. Las Vegas (6-1): The Wildcats are poised to beat Rancho for the 13th straight year in the "Bone Game" on Friday.

4. Cheyenne (6-1): Cheyenne blanked Legacy last week in crucial Northwest Division tilt.

5. Del Sol (6-1): Del Sol survived a scare Friday in a close win against Coronado, but the Dragons are still the class of the Southeast Division.

6. Spring Valley (5-1): The unheralded Grizzlies are poised to win school's first playoff game in five years of existence.

7. Green Valley (5-2): Green Valley is riding a four-game winning streak and its defense pitched a shutout last week against Liberty.

8. Cimarron-Memorial (4-3): Spartans have won four of their last five games.

9. Bonanza (5-2): The Bengals are undefeated in Southwest Division play.

10. Basic (5-2): Basic led Las Vegas High by double digits Friday, but had a pair of fumbles returned for a touchdown in a 28-21 loss.

Dropped out: Legacy; the Longhorns were defeated by Cheyenne.
