    1. That Sunset region is gonna clean up that Sunrise region.
      prediction for Sunset:
      Palo Verde over Sierra Vista
      Spring Valley over Cimarron
      Cheyenne over Bonanza
      Gorman over Legacy

      Prediction for Sunrise:
      Vegas over Foothill
      DP over GV
      Rancho over Del Sol
      Valley over Basic

    2. Playoffs

    3. I don't know about all those picks...

Del Sol already beat Rancho and is always a contender in the post season.
      Basic will roll over Valley...easily.
The Green Valley - Desert Pines game will be close but the Gators are out headhunting for losing the Henderson Bowl last week.

    4. i dont know about rancho beating del sol, im pretty sure del sol already beat them before. del sol should have had the division, they beat basic and basic beat greenvalley... think about it.
valley has no chance of beating basic.

    5. With the understanding that the L.V. Sun is limited in staff, I would like to add the following:

The Pirates will play Truckee in the 3A state title game at 6 p.m. Saturday at Arbor View High School.

Thank you Moapa Valley High School PIRATES for you hard work and dedication to your school and sports. One only has to look at how packed our stands were to know that you have the support of your whole community! And, way to go Truckee!

This will be an exciting game for all to watch!!

    6. Melissa,
You are right, Truckee and Moapa Valley is going to be one heck of a football game. Both teams have hard hitting defenses. Truckee will not be overlooking the Pirates, as Virgin Valley overlooked Truckee.

    7. Good news football fans!
The Las Vegas Sun will cover both the 2A and 3A championships this weekend.
We will have stories and photos from the Moapa Valley/Truckee game and the Pershing County/The Meadows contest.
All of our coverage can be found at http://www.lasvegassun.com/sports/hs_foo...

    8. Thank you Steve Silver for working out the Sun being able to cover the 2A & 3A championship games!! I can guarantee the games will show excellent execution of strategic hard hitting plays.

LakeTahoeGuy: The Pirates know all too well we will have our hands full when playing Truckee. Both teams will have to keep on their toes throughout the whole game!

While I indeed would like to see my Pirates win, a good football game is a good football game no matter who wins.
