Robert Rozek leaving as Sands CFO

Las Vegas Sands Corp. today announced that Chief Financial Officer Robert Rozek will be leaving the company May 23.

Rozek is a former executive with Eastman Kodak who took the job in 2006. Las Vegas Sands didn't disclose his replacement. The company's senior vice president of finance, Scott Henry, served as interim CFO before Rozek's appointment and remains with the company.

Rozek's employment agreement with the company would have expired Dec. 31, 2009.

In a research note to investors, Merrill Lynch stock analyst Celeste Mellet Brown said his departure wouldn't harm Las Vegas Sands, which is in good financial shape to "grow into a larger company."

"The company has two able finance VPs, Scott Henry and Dan Briggs, who have historically communicated with Wall Street and, more importantly, run the company's financing program," Brown wrote.
