Bradley of Findlay Prep has big day

Wednesday was a watershed day for Findlay College Prep guard Avery Bradley.

He was honored as a McDonald’s and Jordan Brand All-American, and he was named to the U.S. junior national select team that will play in the Nike Hoops Summit at the Rose Garden on April 11 in Portland.

Bradley, who will play for Texas next fall, leads the 28-0 Pilots with 18.8 points a game. He averages 4.6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.9 steals.

Findlay, ranked No. 2 in USA Today’s national Super 25 poll, plays Duncanville (Texas) in Dallas on Friday.

Findlay plays its final home game at the Henderson International School, with which the Pilots are affiliated, at 7 p.m. on Feb. 27 against Impact Prep Basketball Academy.

The Pilots will participate in the eight-team National High School Invitational, April 3-5, in North Bethesda, Md.

Bradley will play for the West squad in the McDonald’s All-American game in Miami on April 1.

The Jordan Brand Classic will be staged at Madison Square Garden in New York on April 18.
