Attorney: Autopsy says ice cream lady on her knees

Jim Jimmerson, the attorney for the family of Deshira Selimaj, the woman killed by a Henderson Police officer, says autopsy results show that Selimaj was on the ground when she was shot. Jimmerson says he hasn't received a written copy of the autopsy report, but has been briefed on the trajectory of the bullet. He also says Henderson Police have interviewed a credible witness who was just feet from the scene.

Find out what the witness had to say and more about the autopsy when Jimmerson appears on Face To Face Tuesday.

  1. Great to see a journalist continue to work on this and show our city the real side to this tragedy. Congratulations and thank you for keeping this topic on the front burner!

  2. Kudos to the Jim Jimmerson for exposing the
hypocrisy of the cops in this latest episode of police abuse. Wanna bet they will still be found justified in killing her?

  3. 1. We need to take away the guns from the cops. They can't be trusted to use them appropriately.

    2. We need to prosecute Morrison to the full extent of the law.

    3. People are not going to sit back and let cops gun people down. Especially women, especially mothers in front of their children!!

    4. I don't think its a matter of liberal or conservative thinking. Its a matter of whether or not a cop has the mental makeup to be a cop.

    5. I understand being a cop is a scary job. There are bad guys out there somewhere. I don't think that is the issue here.

    6. If the cops only way of dealing with a wacko woman with a knife is to shoot her I think they need to find another line of work.

    7. The citizens need to beware and take this seriously. the citizens need to make sure this cop is brought to justice.

8.I can't remember who said this but it is so true "When the police become the militia, the community becomes the enemy"

  4. It wouldn't surprise me to find out she was shot on her knees in the back.

  5. Guess you are all wrong. Totally Justifie shoot. And Robert, how crazy are you thinking guns should be taken away from cops. As the inquest has shown, it was a justified shoot. As far as taking away guns, I would love to be dispatched to your home when a criminal is there with a gun and try to apprehend him with a nightstick or pepper spray. As for us cutting people down with our guns?? there were 35 police involved shootings last year. All justified, so obviously you have no clue how restrained we are. Take a ride a long and see how safe we would be without our guns.

  6. Most of you have good points. Take guns away from the police? I don't think so! None of us will have guns before that happens.
I watched the inquest, I heard what was said. I also saw the look in the eyes of the officer(s) involved. Hello, wake up. There was no reason to shoot her with a hand gun. I've watched enough documentary's about police training in Las Vegas. "Las Vegas SWAT" "City Cops" watch the History channel, A&E and the Military Channel. There are several non-lethal alternatives. Or aren't the Henderson Police Department part of the same training? I think they are. I've lived in Las Vegas for more the 45 years and cannot recall an incident like this one. I thought the North town police had the repuation for being "hard assed cops"????
    I hope Jim Jimmerson proceeds.
