I got a call from NV Energy yesterday on my cell phone offering a "free" thermostat designed to save energy. I told the lady I have no desire to save energy since that will only result in a rate increase. I also told her I doubt NV Energy is the one paying for the thermostats and that it's likely being paid for by the federal government through some type of grant....therefore it's not free.
She told me she of course doesn't know anything about rate increases or grants.
I agree Noindex....nothing from NV Energy is free...We already bought a new thermostat (well, it came with the A/C unit we had to buy to replace the one that died), works better than the one that came from the builder.
Doesn't surprise me that she claimed no knowledge of rate increases, she must have missed all this in the news LOL!
Yeh NV Energy tell us to save energy and raise our rates. Sometimes you have to wonder who comes up with this stuff.
