Embattled Sen. John Ensign — who admitted last year to having an affair with a married staffer — suggested Wednesday that he’s been the victim of unfair “gotcha” journalism, Politico is reporting. The Nevada Republican made the charge as he was being asked whether he’s been subpoenaed in a grand jury probe into the aftermath of his affair. Instead of answering that question, he descended into an extended rebuke of the press for the way it has covered the scandal surrounding him.

Please, help me to understand your position because I really want to believe you. However, I'am finding it hard to grasp the concept that you are a victim because I do not live a state of mind that can handle dual realities.
Therefore, so that I can understand your point of view, let's start by defining the term victim.
According to "The American Heritage Dictionary" a victim is "A person who is tricked, swindled, or taken advantage of: the victim of a cruel hoax. Now, John based upon this definiton I hardly think you can call yourself a victim. The victim here is the people of the "The Great State of Nevada".
I would have to say that I feel that you or suffering from the other "V" word and that sir is "Vanity,n. The tribute of a fool to the worth of the nearest a$$.
So, John you can throw the red flag, but I must state that the ruling on the field will stand.
If Ensign represented a moderate or liberal state, he would have been EVISCERATED by the press.
It wasn't that long ago when that unethical, quasi-journalist over at the RJ, Sherman Frederick, was penning lovely missives to John, while publishing op-ed garbage pieces questioning the voracity of the "other parties" involved in the "ENSIGN AFFAIR".
(In fact, I think Sherman has a MAN CRUSH on Senator Ensign.)

I think it's a shame when a U.S. Senator can no longer get off the beaten track a bit and have an affair or two with a marrried woman with out the media making a big deal out of it...

He goes on talk radio (the station that was behind the "decoy car" interview) and says whatever he wants without being challenged.

When he ever claimed that the alleged payoff was a gift and not a bribe, he insults the intelligence of even his most brain-dead supporters, difficult as that may be.
