Sharron Angle avoids reporters in D.C., Ensign speaks for her

Sharron Angle made her Washington debut Tuesday, a largely muted -- literally -- appearance that offered few clues about the woman who will challenge Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid this fall. In Angle's only interaction with the press -- a minute-long chase throughout the halls of the Capitol -- Angle uttered a single word: "Yes."

Angle made her first stop at the Senate Republicans' weekly luncheon as the guest of scandal-tarred Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) -- a fact that had to have GOP strategists grimacing in displeasure
