Gina Carano has landed a lead role in Steven Soderbergh's upcoming film, 'Knockout', putting the future of her role in women's mixed martial arts in doubt.

The news came on the heels of other reports that a highly anticipated matchup between Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Rashad Evans at UFC 107 may be canceled due to Jackson's commitment to serve as an actor in the new 'A-Team' movie.

UFC President Dana White has been less than thrilled with the idea of losing fighters to Hollywood.

"I hate it with a (expletive) passion," White told MMAJunkie. "'You're a fighter; you're not a movie star.' It's so (expletive) funny because fighters want to be movie stars, and movie stars want to act like they're fighters. 'Get a (expletive) grip. You're a fighter, and you're a (expletive) movie star. Alright?'"
