Gina Carano has landed a lead role in Steven Soderbergh's upcoming film, 'Knockout', putting the future of her role in women's mixed martial arts in doubt. The news came on the heels of other reports that a highly anticipated matchup between Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson and Rashad Evans at UFC 107 may be canceled due to Jackson's commitment to serve as an actor in the new 'A-Team' movie. UFC President Dana White has been less than thrilled with the idea of losing fighters to Hollywood. "I hate it with a (expletive) passion," White told MMAJunkie. "'You're a fighter; you're not a movie star.' It's so (expletive) funny because fighters want to be movie stars, and movie stars want to act like they're fighters. 'Get a (expletive) grip. You're a fighter, and you're a (expletive) movie star. Alright?'"
First Jackson, now Carano lands movie role

don't hate Dana, these guys are just trying to get money like you do.
Quit whinning Dana, you selfish prick. You always want everything and everybody to go your way. And we all know the real reason you thru a fit when Affliction started promoting fights is because you knew that they were paying the fighters closer to what they are worth. Not what you wanted to pay them. I thought you'd be so embarressed when a few .com sites started listing how much, actually how little, you paid your fighters. Yeah, we know you lost $44Mil the 1st year, but you're making over $200Mil a year now. So be happy for Rampage that he's gonna make some real money as Mr. T and he deserves it. You don't care about the fans, you only care about the $$$. If you did, you wouldn't be so scared to do a co-promotion or to even bend on a couple of items to get Fedor signed. That fight with Randy will never happen because you won't let it. Simple as that. You screw around and that's why we are subjected to Randy and "Nog" way past their primes. Chuck & Wanderlei Silva was another. Those could have been huge fights that set PPV records. A time will come Dana (hopefully sooner than later) when you're out and a new guy is in, and maybe then we'll get to see match-ups of fighters in their prime and that they will be paid fairly what they are worth, not the pissy little amounts you are paying now. So enjoy your run while it lasts, and then maybe you'll be able to sleep at night!
Dana is a moron and he too once thought he was a fighter. Then he found a position and career that could make him more money...running the UFC. What is wrong if Rampage and Gina have found a position where thay can make millions without having to have a right hook or foot to the face. More so with Gina because women fighters are not making that much money.
Good for them.
