Shane Carwin's shot at UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar's belt will have to wait, it appears. Lesnar (4-1), who was set to fight Carwin (11-0) with the title on the line at UFC 106 on Nov. 21 in Las Vegas, has withdrawn from the fight following a three-and-a-half-week bout with the flu. The illness has kept him from being able to train with the fight less than a month away. According to UFC president Dana White, Lesnar was not believed to have had the H1N1 virus. “He said he’s never been this sick in his life,” White told Yahoo! Sports. “He said it’s been going on for a long time and he just hasn’t been able to shake it.” Added Carwin: "“My heart just sank, as you can imagine. Hopefully, we’ll get it rescheduled soon.” The light heavyweight showdown between Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz could be bumped up to main event status if a comparable replacement is not found in time.
