With this afternoon's shocking news that illness had forced UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar out of his UFC 106 headlining contest with top contender Shane Carwin, the UFC was announced that a rematch between light heavyweights Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz will now take top billing at the event. The promotion also announced it "hopes to re-schedule the (Lesnar vs. Carwin) bout for early 2010."
