Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn has abandoned his bid to run a slot parlor at Aqueduct Racetrack, whittling the field of hopefuls for the potentially lucrative license down to five. The withdrawal of Mr. Wynn, who had been considered among the front-runners, leaves two favorites remaining, according to a source connected to the process but not affiliated with any of the bids. Penn National Gaming, a one-time dark horse that has gained momentum, and SL Green, New York City's largest commercial landlord, are now leading the field, the source said.

The people in New York who voted for Obama lucked out - now they will have fewer wackos.
I pray Madoff stuck it to Steve "Windbag" Wynn too. He's just another Republican who doesn't pay income taxes, and he definitely won't fight to defend America either. Young College Republicans! Future Draft Dodgers of America!
Penn just got two casino's in Ohio.
Is this the race track in Yonkers?
Lc That's the American way to minimize your taxes. I don't see u criticizing Bloomberg for spending 100m for a Mayor of New York or sleaze Chuck Schumer being so tight with the banking industry or of course the sleaziest of them all Harry Reid who bought land in Las Vegas at bargain prices with his connections. And didn't your friend (Reid) say the war is over and we should get out of Iraq/Afghanistan .
good On Steve - when the Dumbo-rats finally run out of New York will the last one please be so kind to turn out the lights
